Bit Jockey values the privacy of users, subscribers, publishers, members, and others who visit and use the Service (collectively or individually, "you" or "users") and will use this Privacy Policy to show how we collect, use, and disclose information from and about you.
There are many different ways you can use the Service (e.g., to view live broadcasts, upload content, communicate with others). Once you publish information publicly on the Service - such as when you broadcast content – that information may be collected and used by others, so only share what you would want to be public. User-provided Information: You may provide a variety of information about yourself to us, such as your name, email address, postal mailing address, telephone number, credit card number, and billing information when you register for a Service; upload, purchase, view, or download certain content or products from the Service, enter contests or sweepstakes; or otherwise use the features and functionality of the Service.
Automatically Collected Information: When you access the Service or open one of our emails, we may automatically record and store certain information about your system by using cookies and other types of technologies. Information from Other Sources: We may obtain information about you from third parties and sources other than the Service, such as advertisers or social media networks for which you have approved our access to information (e.g., information from your Facebook account provided by the Facebook APIs). Bit Jockey uses the information that you provide or that we collect from or about you to: operate, maintain, enhance, provide, create, and develop all of the features, functionality, and services (new or existing) found on the Service; improve your experience with the Service by delivering content that we hope you will find relevant and interesting, including advertising and marketing messages; allow you to comment on content, and participate in online games, contests, or rewards programs; and understand the usage trends of our users.
We use your email address for administrative communications such as notifying you of major Service updates, for customer service purposes, or contacting you regarding any content that you have posted to or downloaded from the Service.
Bit Jockey may periodically send promotional materials or notifications to you related to the Service. If you want to stop receiving promotional materials, you can go to your account settings once you have logged in to the Service or (for email) follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. If you have installed a mobile app and you wish to stop receiving push notifications, you can change the settings either on your mobile device or through the app.
Bit Jockey does not share information that can identify you personally with third parties for their own marketing or promotional uses without your consent. We may share such information for the following purposes:
We may disclose such information to service providers working on our behalf, such as, to: provide web site hosting, maintenance, and security services; fulfill orders; conduct data analysis and create reports; offer certain functionality; or assist Bit Jockey in improving the Service and creating new services and features. If you connect to a third party service (such as Facebook, Twitter, or another third-party application) through an icon or link on the Service or otherwise link your Bit Jockey account with a third party service, we may share information (such as your user name, the fact that your connection originated from the Service, and other relevant usage and diagnostic information) with such third party. With your consent, we may also send information about the content you watch or your activities on the Service to such third parties. The third party’s use of your information will be subject to that service's privacy policy and this Privacy Policy will not apply.
Bit Jockey may disclose user information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with U.S. state and federal laws or other applicable laws around the world (for example, in the country of your residence); or respond to a court order, judicial or other government subpoena, or warrant in the manner legally required.
Bit Jockey also reserves the right to disclose information that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to: take precautions against liability to Bit Jockey; protect Bit Jockey from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses; investigate and defend ourselves against third party claims, or allegations to protect the security or integrity of the Service; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Bit Jockey, our users, or others.
You may decline to share certain information with Bit Jockey, in which case Bit Jockey may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionality found on the Service. To update, correct, or delete certain information and establish preferences regarding your profile on Bit Jockey, visit the Settings Page, or contact admin@bitjockey.io. It is also possible to disable your account from the Settings Page.
To access, review, correct, update, suppress, or otherwise limit Bit Jockey’s use of information you have previously provided directly to Bit Jockey, you may contact us (see Bit Jockey Contact Information below). In your request, please include your email address, name, address, and telephone number and specify clearly what information is relevant to your request. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.
To protect your privacy and security, we may take steps to verify your identity before granting you access or making corrections to your information. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information at all times.
If you would like to close your account and delete your profile information on www.bitjockey.io go to http://www.bitjockey.io/unsubscribe. With other services, you may update or delete information tied to your account by accessing the “My Account” area of the service or by submitting a help ticket to that service.
Bit Jockey uses a variety of managerial, technical, and physical measures to protect the integrity and security of your information. These measures may vary based on the sensitivity of your information. However, no security precautions or systems can be completely secure. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Bit Jockey, and you do so at your own risk. We cannot guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
IF YOU ARE UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE, THEN PLEASE DO NOT USE OR ACCESS THE SERVICE AT ANY TIME OR IN ANY MANNER.
Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, Bit Jockey does not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from persons under 13 years-of-age. If Bit Jockey learns that personal information of persons under 13-years-of-age has been collected on or through the Service, Bit Jockey will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.
If you are the parent or legal guardian of a child under 13 who has become a Service member, then please contact Bit Jockey at admin@bitjockey.io to have that child's account terminated and personal information deleted.
In the event that Bit Jockey, or some or all assets related to the Service are acquired by or merged with a third-party entity or in connection with a contemplated change of ownership transaction, we reserve the right, in any of these circumstances, to transfer or assign the information that we have collected from users as part of that merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control event.
